Video AuditionsPlease send to Sara Bibik/ Intensive Audition 1) Must be 12-15 minutes long 2) It is best to send solo work, but if you send group work, you must identify who you are from the beginning of the segment. 3) Include at least 3 different pieces of choreography, utilizing jazz and contemporary choreography. 4) Choreography should include technique such as front, side and back extensions, en dedans and en dehors pirouettes, small and big jumps, a variety of speeds and floor work. Partnering is encouraged but not required. Please do not send video of yourself just doing technical feats. At this level, it is vital that your technique is a tool you have to convey an idea, emotion or story. 5) DVD or flashdrives are preferred. Youtube links are often choppy and only hurt our ability to see your dance quality. Same with recordings from cell phones. If it is choppy and broken, you will be disqualified because the quality of movement is what we are looking for. 6) Include a picture and resume. 7) Your DVD’s/ flashdrives picture and resume are always kept strictly confidential and become property of RNDC. They will not be returned. 8) Everyone who sends in a video audition will be notified no later than April 27, 2012. |
