Whether first time dance attendees or seasoned aficionados, River North Chicago Dance Company “keeps you on the edge of your seat from the moment the curtain goes up” (Chicago Tribune) with its engaging, accessible style.

Over our seventeen-year history, the Company has created a varied, eclectic, and entertaining repertoire that constantly challenges and enriches our dancers and audiences.  The repertoire features works by nationally and internationally renowned choreographers including Artistic Director Frank Chaves, Co-Artistic Director Emerita Sherry Zunker, Daniel Ezralow, Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Ashley Roland, Randy Duncan, Harrison McEldowney, Kevin Iega Jeff, and others.

River North Chicago also offers our acclaimed young audience and family program, Street Beat – Dance Through the Decades, featuring:

• each decade from the roaring 20s through the hip-hopping 90s
• fully costumed dance numbers
• narratives on how dance was influenced by the historical and social conditions of each decade

Available for performance in theaters, schools, and community centers, Street Beat is a complete program that includes grade-appropriate classroom materials.

Other residency opportunities include master classes, open rehearsals, curtain talks, and more.
