River North Chicago Dance Company does not currently have any paid artistic or administrative positions open. The company does offer unpaid administrative internships as well as unpaid apprenticeships.

SUMMER ADMINISTRATIVE INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY

RNCDC is currently looking for an intern for Summer 2008 to begin on May 1st. This is a temporary position that could lead to a permanent, paid position, in the future.

Applicants must possess strong administrative and organizational skills (computer experience with Excel and Microsoft Access a plus), a background in the arts, and an openness to a range of activities and responsibilities.

Intern will be responsible for and participate in a wide range of tasks, from filing to assistance with development and marketing activities. Applicants should be self motivated and be able to move from project to project, quickly. Position is unpaid and is an excellent opportunity for learning and experience in the arts administration field. Intern will be joining what is currently a two-person office responsible for maintaining an 18-year-old dance company.
